Avram Grant has been rewarded for his fine start at Chelsea with a new bumper contract worth £8.25m. Roman Abramovich has offered the Israeli a contract until 2010.
"Avram has been offered a new contract fitting of his new role and he is very pleased with the terms - it is fair to say that he is getting a very healthy increase indeed.
"He has the contract, he's read it through, and there are no problems. We are expecting him to finalise everything and sign it during the upcoming international break.
"That will confirm that he is the boss and is here to stay."
