Adnan Januzaj seals Man Utd's comeback win

06 October 2013 - 04:20

Manchester United got back to winning ways in the Premier League as they earned a hard fought 2-1 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, thanks to the brilliance of 18-year-old Belgian sensation Adnan Januzaj.

  • Dutch star has travelled to London for Chelsea medical
  • Chelsea to focus on signing Dutch attacker after Hato

  • The talented midfielder, announced himself on the world stage as he made his full debut, grabbing a brace to lift the Red Devils to the top half of the Premier League table.

Sunderland got off to the perfect start when Craig Gardner took advantage of a defensive lapse from Nemanja Vidic to slam home the goal in the 5th minute.

The Red Devils failed to create a clear cut opportunities as they went into the first half break trailing by a 1-0 scoreline.

The second half was all about the Januzaj as he levelled the score with 10 minutes into the second half with his less favoured right foot after an inch perfect assist from Nani.

Manchester United got in front in the 61st minute with Januzaj producing an even better finish with his left foot, as he timed his effort with precision.

The Premier League picked up three vital points heading into the International break as manager David Moyes showed his joy at the final whistle.

It will be interesting to see how United will handle Januzaj's contract situation, given the interest from many top clubs in Europe, who would be eager to sign the youngster on a pre-contract.
