Newcastle eye permanent Loic Remy transfer

Newcastle eye permanent Loic Remy transfer

07 October 2013 - 15:46

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew will try his best to bring French striker Loic Remy to St. James' Park on a permanent deal. The burly forward has joined the Toon Army on a loan deal until the end of the season.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Queens Park Rangers are hoping that a permanent deal will be arranged before next summer and with the Frenchman in good goalscoring form, having scored five goals in three games, Pardew admits that he is looking to seal a transfer for Remy soon.

I wish he had joined in January. I still remember the night clearly when we thought we had done the deal. We had a nice glass of wine, gave ourselves a nice, hearty, warm handshake and the next day he wasn’t there," said Pardew.

But sometimes in life you have to wait. If you wait long enough it comes around. We are really pleased to have him. He is a player on our books and we are pleased to have him, but at the moment he is a QPR player.
