Man Utd plot move for Stephan Lichtsteiner

Manchester United are preparing a January bid for Juventus defender Stephan Lichtsteiner, according to reports in Switzerland.

  • The reports claim that the Red Devils boss David Moyes is keen on acquiring the signature of the talented Swiss International, who was ever-present when Juve retained the Serie A title last season. 



    The 29-year-old who has 51 caps for the national side to his name, is considered as a key member in the Turin outfit, and is highly regarded for his work rate and energy.<br /><br />Manchester United are in search of a new full-back, and it is expected that the Red Devils will offer a transfer fee in the region of £10m, which remains £4m short of Juventus' valuation.<br /><br />Chelsea have been previously linked with a move for the player.
