Liverpool striker Iago Aspas' miserable bad luck since arriving at Anfield continues as the Spanish forward looks set to face six weeks on the sidelines after tearing his thigh muscle this week.
Aspas suffered the injury in training on Thursday afternoon and the muscle tear was confirmed Friday morning.
The striker has recently hinted that he may consider a move away from Liverpool if he is unable to force his way into manager Brendan Rodgers' plans.
A Liverpool statement read: "Liverpool Football Club today confirmed that Spanish forward Iago Aspas has suffered a torn thigh muscle in training."
