Juventus want Southampton striker Pablo Osvaldo on loan

23 October 2013 - 01:02

Juventus are reportedly hopeful of signing Southampton forward Pablo Osvaldo on loan during the January transfer window, with an option of making the deal permanent next summer.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Osvaldo joined the Saints during the summer from Serie A side AS Roma, and has scored once in his seven appearances for the club in the Premier League.

Bianconeri manager Antonio Conte is keen on adding an extra striker to his squad having seen Fernando Llorente struggle to settle in Serie A, and The Mirror reports that Osvaldo is being considered by the Serie A champions, as he has the ability to provide a physical presence in attack.

However, The Saints have given no indication that they will allow the sale of Osvaldo during the winter transfer window, despite the striker revealing of his difficulty to adapt to the Premier League atmosphere.
