Man Utd open talks with Wayne Rooney over fresh contract

27 October 2013 - 15:42

Manchester United manager David Moyes wants to sit down with England international Wayne Rooney and discuss a new deal as soon as possible. The forward has attracted the interest of Paris St Germain.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Rooney had been linked with a transfer away from Old Trafford last August but instead decided to stay put at United and has had an excellent season for his current club so far, despite United sitting in a less than impressive 7th place in the Premier League.

The forward is currently earning a reported £250,000 a week at United and wants to sign a new five year contract, on a reported £325,000 per a week.

David Moyes will arrange talks with Rooney and his representatives in the next two to three weeks.
