Daniel Agger ready to quit Liverpool

29 October 2013 - 12:12

Centre back Daniel Agger has hinted that there could be a future for him elsewhere if he fails to win back a place in Liverpool's starting lineup. Brendan Rodgers has so far kept the Danish star on the bench this season.

  • Marseille table bid for Chelsea defender

  • Agger has attracted the interest of Napoli, Chelsea and Barcelona in recent months and for the first time the player has openly hinted that he could be forced to make a transfer elsewhere.

Agger has yet to play in the first team since September and is growing increasingly frustrated.

The defender said: "If the manager doesn’t think I’m good enough, that could make me leave Liverpool.

“I’m here to play football, nothing else. So if I don’t play football, then I don’t want to be here."
