Manchester United and Manchester City are preparing to fight it out for the signing of Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay at the end of the season.

    The Mirror reports that Citizens manager Manuel Pellegrini had sent scouts to watch the 27-year-old, and having received positive reports on his performances, the club are are keen on signing the £18m-rated centre-back during the winter transfer window
