Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly monitoring the progress of Inter Milan shot stopper Samir Handanovic, as per sources in Italy.

The citizens manager is keen on adding a top class goalkeeper during the winter transfer window, following the dip in form of the club's number one Joe Hart this season.<br />

The 29 year old Slovenian goalkeeper who joined the Serie A giants from Udinese last year for a transfer fee of £10m, has been in excellent form for the club, and had attracted interest from a number of high profile European sides.<br />

Sources in Italy suggest the former Premier League champions would have to fork out a fee in the region of £20m to acquire the player's services.
