West Ham United are preparing a January transfer offer for Chelsea's Senegalese striker Demba Ba, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Hammers manager Sam Allardyce is speculated to be interested in re-signing the Senegal international with co-owner David Sullivan making a personal plea to the Blues forward to make a return to Upton Park during the summer.
Demba ba, who scored the clinching goal for the West London outfit during the club's 3-1 win at home against Southampton last weekend, has found himself down the pecking order following the signing of Samuel Eto'o and Andre Schurrle during the summer.
West Ham will be keen on making a transfer bid during the winter, with the club having relied on the likes of Modibo Maiga and Mladen Petrić for the striker's role occasionally following a long-term injury to star striker Andy Caroll.
