Highly rated Spanish striker Alvaro Morata will not be allowed to leave the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on loan in January, despite talks of a potential move elsewhere in search of regular first team football.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • The talented striker has found himself deployed as a second half substitute this year and there had been some suggestion that club manager Carlo Ancelotti would let Morata leave on loan, with Arsenal amongst the teams interested.
However, Real Madrid have now insisted that Morata is an important member of the squad and will not be allowed to take a loan period: "Some clubs are interested but the subject is closed.
"Morata remains with us because we need a footballer like him at Real Madrid this season."
