Atletico Madrid considering move for Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina

Spanish side Atletico Madrid will make a move for Napoli's on loan goalkeeper Pepe Reina at the end of the season. Atleti's first choice keeper Thibault Courtois is expected to return to his parent club Chelsea once this season ends.

Pepe Reina has long been linked with a transfer to Barcelona but now it is understood that Atletico Madrid are the new favourites to sign the Spanish international.<br />

The 31-year-old is currently having a successful loan campaign at Serie A giants Napoli under his former manager at Liverpool, Rafa Benitez, and has been told that he has no future at Anfield as Simon Mignolet is expected to be the number 1 choice at the club for the coming seasons.
