West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has dismissed reports suggesting that the club are looking to make a move for Seattle Sounders front man Obafemi Martins during the upcoming transfer window.Â
The Hammers manager is in the market for a new striker during the winter transfer window, and has been linked with the likes of Diego Forlan, Diego Milito, Andre-Pierre Gignac and Bafetimbi Gomis in recent weeks.
However, Allardyce has clearly indicated that he has no interest in securing the services of the Super Eagles striker in January.
"I haven't heard anything about Oba," He said. "Everyone knows if we're in the market for a player, we'll be linked with everybody.
"We'll deal with that - speculation is speculation."
Obafemi Martins previously played in the Premier League on loan with Birmingham City in 2011.
