Thibaut Courtois not joining Barcelona

Atletico Madrid's on loan goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will not make a move to Barcelona. The keeper has told reporters that he will only play at Atletico Madrid or the club at which his contract is currently held, Chelsea.

According to various reports from Spain, Barcelona are amongst the teams interested in the Belgian keeper and the Camp Nou side were hopeful that they could agree a deal with Chelsea to sign Courtois as a permanent replacement for Victor Valdes.<br />

Despite talk of a move away to Barcelona, Courtois' father told reporters that would not happen anytime soon: "Thibaut is under contract at Atletico until June 30. There are only two clubs that are important to him -- Chelsea and Atletico."
