Italian Clubs join the race for Manchester United captain

Serie A teams Napoli and Fiorentina have become the latest clubs to express interest in Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic. The Serbian will be a free agent in the summer after ruling out the possibility of signing a new contract at Old Trafford.

  • The 33 year old has caught the eye of both clubs but so far no contact has been made.<br />

    Speaking to Radio Crc, Vidic&rsquo;s agent Silvano Martina said,<br />

    &ldquo;Napoli? At the moment there has been no contact,&rdquo; he said.<br />

    The former Spartak Moscow defender has made 282 appearances for the Red Devils since arriving in January of 2006 and has gone to win five Premier League titles.
