Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has admitted that the club are interested in landing the services of John Guidetti on a temporary basis this month.
The talented Swedish striker has failed to force in his way into the first-team this season, following the arrivals of Alvaro Negredo and Stevan Jovetic in the summer.
The former Manchester City manager revealed that he would welcome the talented forward to Stoke, as he aims to strengthen the club's attacking options during the winter transfer window.
"Possibly. We've spoke about the boy. We hope to get players in who can help us. If we're able to conclude that then it be something that would help all parties," Hughes said.
"We're looking to add players if we can. There's certain parts of our game we know we need a different option. Sometimes we haven't got that option to go in behind and we lack a little bit of pace so we'd like to try and address that."
Guidetti has yet to feature for the Citizens this season.
