Juan Mata will reportedly have his medical on Friday ahead of his proposed £37m move to Manchester United, according to The Mirror.

The talented Spanish midfielder failed to undertake the medical procedure on Thursday, as the Blues were yet to receive assurances over the signing of Mohamed Salah following acceptance of a transfer fee from FC Basel.



The Blues midfielder is likely to complete his move by the end of the weekend at the earliest.



Mata will be United's record signing, surpassing the £30.75m fee paid for former player Dimitar Berbatov in 2008.
