Sigthorsson not joining QPR

Iceland striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson will not be leaving Ajax for championship side Queens Park Rangers this month.

  • Reports suggest that QPR manager Harry Redknapp was present at the Amsterdam Arena to cast an eye on the striker as Ajax beat Feyenoord in the KNVB cup.



    However the player’s agent has told Ajax Showtime that he will not be leaving the club this January especially a club in the first division.



    ”Kolbeinn will not leave Ajax for a club in the first division. He is focused and will work hard to score many goals for Ajax. Everyone can call me, but Kolbeinn remains where he is.”



    The 23-year-old has scored 23 goals in 57 appearances for the club his move in 2011.
