Preview: Bolton vs Man Utd

24 November 2007 - 14:19

Nobody has won more games than Man Utd this year, but noone has won less than Bolton, but a trip to the Reebok could be a difficult ask for Manchester United who look to continue their unbeaten Premiership streak of 10 games.

  • Gary Neville breaks silence on Ruben Amorim
  • Arne Slot explains Alexis Mac Allister substitution

  • It's the 109th league game between these two Northern rivals, and Gary Megson could see this as a grand opportunity to put his reputation on the line and pick up a huge three points against the Premiership's second placed club.

Nicolas Anelka is fit again, whilst El-Hadj Diouf returns from suspension. Wayne Rooney is still missing whilst Nemanja Vidic is unlikely to play - Wes Brown could fill in for the Serbian.

Man Utd are undefeated in nine; having won eight and drawn one in all competitions, since the 0-2 home defeat by Coventry in the third round of the Carling Cup on 26 September; their only loss in 15 outings.

Bolton have drawn five of their last seven Premier League fixtures.

    Megson: we're improving

"In my view, we are improving. We made a case for winning every game played whilst I've been here.

"But we haven't won so we've got to find a way of turning draws into wins, regardless of the opposition.

"We've also been doing a lot of work during the international break in terms of watching players."

    Bolton 1-1 Man Utd

A fantastic point for Bolton could be on the cards as Man Utd look to make ground on leaders Arsenal. However, Bolton will be desperate to help Megson pick up a valuable point, and Bolton will need to nullify the threat of Utd's frontline.

    Score: 1-1 Draw

    Goalscorer: Cristiano Ronaldo
