Schalke targeting Arsenal Goalkeeper

11 February 2014 - 17:26

Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 are targeting Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski. The 28 year is out of contract at the end of the season and has rejected a new deal at the Emirates.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game

  • Fabianski joined the Gunners from Legia Warsaw in the summer of 2007 and has never been able to nail down a regular spot, making only 31 league appearances.

It has been reported in German newspaper Bild that Schalke will make a move for the goalkeeper.

The Royal Blues have already decided not to renew the contract of Timo Hildebrand and will undoubtedly be looking to bring in a new keeper.

The two clubs have already been in discussions over the last six months over German midfielder Julian Draxler.
