Chelsea and Manchester United are believed to be monitoring the progress of Bayer Leverkusen youngster Julian Brandt, with a view to a summer bid for the player.
According to The Sunday People, the Red Devils boss David Moyes had sent scouts to watch the 17-year-old in action during the Bundesliga club's 2-1 defeat at home to Schalke 04 last weekend.
Reports elsewhere suggest that Chelsea are also in the race for Brandt's signature, with manager Jose Mourinho having been impressed by the teenager's potential.
Brandt has made 3 appearances for Leverkusen in all competitions this season.
