Davies seeks "Arteta gems"

Derby manager Billy Davies has said that he is looking to bring players of the quality of Mikel Arteta into County during January. Davies believes he needs to add players who can "turn a game on its head".

"He is a real quality gem - a player who can pass, cross, score a goal out of nothing and make things happen," said Davies.



"That is what we need, we need two or three gems.



"Players who can turn a game on its head with a little piece of magic.



"Sometimes it is the foreign players who can give you that but there are also British players who can do it as well.



"Getting the right balance in the team between British players and foreign players is important and we are now ready for that."
