Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Ipswich Town, Dowman starts

15 September 2026 - 16:45

Arsenal take on Ipswich Town in tonight's Carabao Cup third round tie on the road.

  • Xabi Alonso pushing for Roma midfielder deal?
  • Arsenal handed injury blow ahead of Ipswich Town game

  • The Gunners have won six games on the trot in all competitions and will be aiming to extend the streak against the Tractor Boys.

Ahead of the game, manager Mikel Arteta is expected to make wholesale changes and we anticipate at least nine from the recent win at Sunderland.

    Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Predicted Line-up:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been the club's Cup goalkeeper since last season and should replace David Raya between the sticks.

There could be three changes to the backline. Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori should be rested, while Ben White is injured.

We fancy Marli Salmon to start at right-back. Piero Hincapie could partner Ezri Konsa in central defence, with Myles Lewis-Skelly at left-back.

Declan Rice should get a much-needed breather. It could be Martin Zubimendi partnering Bruno Guimaraes in the heart of the midfield.

In the final third, we expect a complete overhaul, with Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Christos Tzolis and Kai Havertz given a break.

Eberechi Eze should start on the left wing with Noni Madueke on the right. Max Dowman looks poised to start as the playmaker, with Viktor Gyokeres leading the line for the Mancunian giants.

Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Ipswich: Arrizabalaga; Salmon, Konsa, Hincapie, Lewis-Skelly; Zubimendi, Guimaraes; Madueke, Dowman, Eze; Gyokeres.
