Southampton to move for Fabio Quagliarella

10 March 2014 - 06:13

Southampton are set to make a shock transfer move for Italian striker Fabio Quagliarella as soon as the transfer window reopens in the summer. The Juventus striker has been linked with a move to England for over two years.

  • West Ham were amongst the teams who had hoped to secure a deal that would bring Quagliarella to the Premier League, but the latest reports indicate that Southampton's manager Mauricio Pochettino is to trump his Premier League rivals with a GBP 2 million bid for the Juve forward.

The Italian striker has slipped down the pecking order in Turin and is reportedly seeking a move away from the Old Lady as soon as the window reopens in the month of June.
