Manchester United are reportedly tracking the progress of Lyon defender Samuel Umtiti, with a view to a summer transfer for his services.

According to TuttoMercato, the Red Devils manager David Moyes is keen on a major squad reshuffle in the summer, and considers the French Under-21 international as potential replacement for outbound veteran defender Patrice Evra.

 

The versatile defender, who can play at either centre-back or left-back, has been watched by the Manchester giants over the past few weeks and could be available for a fee in the region of £10m during the summer transfer window.

 

Samuel Umtiti has made over 50 league appearances for Lyon since his debut in 2011.
