Arsenal have reportedly decided that Germany international Lukas Podolski is to leave the club in the summer, with Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen both interested in the former Bayern Munich man.
Despite scoring 16 goals in his first season in English football, the fan favourite has struggled to reproduce the form that made him one of Europe's most feared strikers. At Arsenal, Podolski has often been deployed on the left hand side of the field as Olivier Giroud is preferred as the first choice forward.
With Arsene Wenger set to rebuild his squad this summer, it is understood that Podolski has been told that he is free to leave the club.
Even an injury to Theo Walcott this year has not boosted Podolski's chances of regular first team football, having started just 14 Premier League games and scored only four goals during that time.
