Fabianski heading for Arsenal exit

Southampton set sights on Arsenal shot-stopper

14 April 2014 - 00:08

Southampton are reportedly keen on signing Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski on a free transfer this summer, according to The People.

  • Chelsea quoted price to sign Igor Thiago
  • Chelsea make Joao Pedro transfer decision
  • Fabianski has been on the eye of the South coast club in recent weeks, with the club looking to provide competition to current number one Artur Boruc for the next campaign.

The 28-year-old is expected to leave the Gunners at the end of the season, having refused to sign a new contract extension in spite of manager Arsene Wenger's desire to keep him at the Emirates.

As of now, it looks likely that the talented Polish goalkeeper will remain in the United Kingdom for another season, with Southampton and Scottish champions Celtic interested in his services.
