Manchester United are reportedly interested in landing the signature of Barcelona midfielder Alex Song in the summer, according to a report.

The 26-year-old Cameroonian international has failed to cement his place in the first-team since his move from Arsenal in the summer of 2012.

 

Goal.com claims that the midfielder is currently unsettled at the Catalan giants and is open to a switch away from the club at the end of the current campaign. Adding to this, Manchester United are ready to pay a fee in the region of £12.5m to secure his services during the summer transfer window.

 

Song has made 28 appearances for the La Liga giants this season.
