Liverpool are reportedly set to battle it out with Serie A outfit Lazio for the services of Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka this summer.
The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is understood to be keen in strengthening the club's midfield setup at the end of the season, as they prepare to play alongside Europe's elite in the Champions League next term.
According to Tutto Mercato, the Merseyside outfit have been tracking the 21-year-old’s progress in the Bundesliga in recent weeks, and are likely to face a bidding war with Lazio for the £7m rated midfielder.
The talented Swiss international joined Monchengladbach from FC Basel in the summer of 2012.
