Chelsea captain John Terry is reportedly set to take a fifty-percent pay-cut to sign a new one-year deal with the West London club.
According to the Daily Star, the Blues management have offered a one-year extension to the veteran centre-back, but want the former England international to half his wages from his current salary of £160,000 per week.
Â
The 33-year-old is now prepared to accept terms at Stamford Bridge and extend his stay for another year, after enjoying an excellent season alongside fellow country-mate Gary Cahill.
Â
Terry has notched up over 600 appearances for the Blues since his debut in 1998.Â
