Man Utd target happy at Bayern Munich

24 May 2014 - 10:36

Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben has insisted that he is happy at the club, and has not interest in joining Manchester United in the near future.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The Netherlands international will be working under new United boss Louis van Gaal at the World Cup finals in Brazil next month, and reports had claimed that their close relationship in the country setup could tempt him into joining the Mancunian giants this summer.

However, this does not seem to be the case, and the former Chelsea man has insisted that a switch away from the Bavarian outfit is "not an option".

"That's not an option. I'm staying with Bayern Munich. Period. I cannot imagine why Bayern would want to lose me. I just renewed my contract and we are happy with each other." The 30-year-old said."Van Gaal and Guardiola are the best trainers I have worked with. I feel good so will stay where I am. The chance is zero that I make the switch."

Robben joined Bayern Munich from Real Madrid in the summer of 2009.
