Barcelona are in pole position to secure the signing of Brazilian centre back Marquinhos. The defender is currently on the way out of PSG after the French side recruited David Luiz from Chelsea.
Marquinhos struggled in his first season in Ligue 1 and has now been told that he is free to leave the Parc Des Princes. Having enjoyed an excellent spell in Italy playing for Roma prior to joining PSG, Marquinhos will be keen to kick start his career at Spanish giants Barcelona.
With the Catalan side having lost the retiring Carles Puyol, Luis Enrique's side are desperate to find a suitable replacement and will pay a massive 36 million Euros to secure Marquinhos' signature.
