Tottenham monitoring Sebastian Driussi

12 June 2014 - 06:40

Newly appointed Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign 18-year-old starlet Sebastian Driussi. The young forward has been monitored by the North London club for over six months ahead of a potential switch to England.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Driussi is very highly rated in Argentina, where he plays for River Plate, one of the giants of club football in South America. Having seen Driussi impress in numerous youth tournaments, Spurs have been keeping a close eye on the player for over a year and are reportedly preparing a $7 million bid next month.

Pochettino is also looking to add some further South American flair to his squad and has been brought to White Hart Lane to help struggling midfield star Erik Lamela adjust to the rigours of English football. It is understood Pochettino is pushing to bring in at least three more signings to Spurs this summer transfer window.
