Man Utd manager Louis Van Gaal has been dealt a major blow in his summer transfer plans after Borussia Dortmund star Mats Hummels ruled out a transfer away from BVB.The 25-year-old German international had been on United's radar as a potential replacement for Nemanja Vidic, but now the powerful centre back has told the German media that he will be staying put.
United are now believed to have contacted Southampton regarding a move for Croat defender Dejan Lovren, who handed in a transfer request last month.
