Arsenal have reportedly rejected a summer offer from Manchester United for Thomas Vermaelen, according to The Mirror.
The Red Devils are understood to be keen on signing a top-class defender this summer, following the departure of Nemanja Vidic, and had been linked with move for the Belgian international in recent weeks.
However, The Mirror claims that the Gunners have turned down the bid from the Mancunian giants, as it is nowhere near to their valuation of the talented centre-back.
Napoli are also understood to be monitoring the Belgian defender, who was forced to withdraw with an injury during his country's 1-0 win over Russia at the World Cup.
