Will Juventus let him go?

Man Utd make £30 million bid for Arturo Vidal

02 July 2014 - 12:35

Manchester United's coach Louis Van Gaal has reportedly tabled a bid of £30 million for Chelsea target Arturo Vidal.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Van Gaal has revealed that he had wanted to sign the Chile international even when he was at the helm of Bayern Munich whilst Vidal played for Bayer Leverkusen. Unluckily for him, Vidal chose Juventus.

Van Gaal has already improved United's midfield after the signing of Ander Herrera for £29 million.

Vidal has also been planning to move to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Arsenal also monitoring him. Reports also claim that Vidal is satisfied at Juventus but the Serie A tabletopper will sell him this summer if the deal is lucrative enough.

After his stellar performances with Juventus, he was nicknamed Il Guerriero (aka "The Warrior"). He is recognised as a complete midfielder with Bloomberg rating him eleventh best player in Europe in 2013.
