Mark Schwarzer signs Chelsea deal

Veteran goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has agreed a new contract with Chelsea. The Australian international has agreed a one year contract extension with the Stamford Bridge side.

  • With there some uncertainty over the long term first choice keeper at the Blues, Jose Mourinho had been keen to tie Schwarzer down to a new deal as second choice shot stopper.

    Thibaut Courtois and Petr Cech are both at Chelsea and it is understood that Mourinho is set to choose one keeper before the start of the season and potentially sell the other to another club.

    PSG are believed to have made an offer for Petr Cech last week.
