Thulani Serero has signed a two-year extension With Ajax and will stay with the Dutch side till 2017.
The South African's deal was due to expire at the end of the next season, but the Dutch champions confirmed on Tuesday that they had extended the terms of his contract by a further two years.
"It was not a difficult decision to renew my contract. The club means a lot to me and I want to trust that I get to pay that back on the field," he said.
The midfielder had signed for Ajax in 2011 and made his debut on 7 August 2011, coming on as a substitute in the match against De Graafschap.
