Serie A giants Roma have reportedly joined Liverpool in the race for the signature of Bayern Munich forward Xherdan Shaqiri this summer.
The Swiss international was in top form for the national side during the World Cup finals in Brazil, and this had alerted interest from Liverpool.
However, the Star claims that the former Basel star could be heading to Roma this summer, with the Capital club set to make an initial offer of around £15m.
It is understood that that Bayern are looking for a transfer fee closer to £20m, and are ready to stall on all bids for the player before making a decision.
