Shinji Kagawa to Arsenal?

Arsenal could make a surprise bid to sign Manchester United's Shinji Kagawa, after it was revealed that manager Louis van Gaal could offload the midfielder this summer.

  • The talented Japanese international joined the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2012 under former boss Alex Ferguson.

    However, he had a stop-start season, as he failed to replicate the form, he was once known for during his days at Signal Iduna Park.

    TalkSport reports that the Mancunian giants have failed to harness the attacking midfielder's talents over the past two seasons, and the arrival of new manager Van Gaal will dent the 25-year-old's chances of featuring in the first-team furthermore.

    It is understood that Van Gaal will ring a couple more changes this summer, and this could spell the end of Kagawa's career at Old Trafford.

    Arsenal are reckoned to be ready to take the initiative and make a summer offer for the Japan star.
