Cuadrado to Manchester United?

Man United are desperate to sign Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado despite the fact that the Fiorentina player appears to be more likely move to either Bayern Munich or Barcelona, who are both reportedly chasing the player according to the Daily Star.

  • The 26 year old enjoyed a superb season in Florence last term, netting 15 goals in all competitions and also impressed at the World Cup.

The Red Devils have apparently already expressed their interest in Cuadrado and will offer £30 milllion for his services though the player himself is reportedly not keen on a move to the Premier League.

Having already signed Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw from Athletic Bilbao and Southampton respectively, Van Gaal would do well to improve on his wide attacking options as the likes of Nani, Ashley Young and Luis Antonio Valencia have been less than impressive while Spaniard Juan Mata and Belgian youngster Adnan Januzaj were in good form last term.

The lack of Champions League action may also prove an obstacle as Manchester United failed to qualify for the big event.
