Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria has been strongly linked with a switch away from the Bernabeu over the past month, with the Manchester duo of City and United interested in his signature.

City have pulled the plug on a move for the Argentine in recent weeks, and the Star claims that United are ready to make a club-record offer of around £45m for the talented winger.

Di Maria is understood to be unhappy at Los Blancos, following the arrival of the likes of James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos at the club this summer.
