Southampton have wrapped up a loan deal for Chelsea full back Ryan Bertrand. The defender had been linked with a move to Liverpool but has instead decided to move to St Mary\'s.
The defensive starlet had been amongst a host of players that were reportedly told they are allowed to leave the club by manager Jose Mourinho and Southampton have moved quickly to snap up Bertrand as a replacement for Luke Shaw, who joined Man Utd this month.
Bertrand also can make a permanent move to the Saints at the end of the 2014-15 campaign for a fee of around 10 millon GBP.
The full back is hoping a move to Southampton will boost his international prospects for England.
