Premier League side Crystal Palace has confirmed the signing of defender Brede Hangeland from rivals Fulham.
The Norwegian international has been signed on a free transfer and the expected duration of his stay at Selhurst Park is one season after signing a deal today.
The central defender and the captain of the Norway national team is excited since joining the Eagles and said, "I'm absolutely delighted. All the things I've heard about this club, the manager, players, staff, it's all been good things and I've seen that for myself this morning."
The tall and composed defender joined Fulham in the January transfer window of 2008 and in 2009 was awarded with an extension in his contract until 2013.
He made 20 league appearances for the Cottagers last season.
