  • Mangala has indicated that he wants a move to England but so far his club Porto have refused to budge on their valuation. City and Porto had been discussing a fee for over two weeks, with the Premier League champions some way short of reaching an agreement; with the Citizens nearly 10 million euros off of Porto's valuation.

However, Mangala has reportedly agreed to reduce the fee that he would be due if Porto sell him and City have now been given the all clear to complete a transfer for the defender.

Mangala is seen as a replacement for Martin Demichelis for City for the upcoming season and will partner Vincent Kompany at the heart of an a new look defence for manager Manuel Pellegrini.
