Atletico Madrid keen on signing Hernandez and Kagawa

05 August 2014 - 08:30

La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are ready to launch a bid for Manchester United’s out-of-favour duo Shinji Kagawa and Javier Hernandez.

  • Juventus and Napoli enter race for Chelsea winger
  • Felix Nmecha linked with Chelsea move

  • According to reports in The Guardian, the Red and Whites’ boss Diego Simeone is keen on bring the two to Vicente Calderon in an attempt to boost his side following the departure of Felipe Luis and star striker Diego Costa to Chelsea last month.

Red Devils’ newly appointed manager Louis van Gaal is also looking to rebuild his squad after a disastrous outing under David Moyes last season that saw the English giants miss out on a spot in the European tournament. The Dutchman has made it clear that the side will undergo key changes over the next seven days and indicated that both Kagawa and Hernandez might be on their way out.

Besides Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan are also eyeing the Mexican striker, while the Japanese midfielder is also contemplating a move back to Dortmund.
