Manchester United are reportedly keen on having Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal for a medical before agreeing on a transfer fee.

The Chile international has been long linked with a switch to the Red Devils, with manager Louis van Gaal keen on bolstering the club's midfield department this summer, following a dismal campaign under David Moyes last season.

According to The Star, the Juventus star has agreed on a contract worth £182,000 per week but Van Gaal is still unsure as to whether the player has recovered from his recurring knee injury.

It is believed that the transfer could be struck by next week, should Vidal clear the medical procedure on a positive note.
