Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has dismissed speculation linking forward Joel Campbell with an exit from the club.
The Costa Rican international had a great World Cup with the national side in Brazil, as they reached their first quarter-finals in history.
Reports earlier had linked the 22-year-old with a switch to the Serie A, with AC Milan keen on sealing a deal for his services.
However, manager Arsene Wenger has come out in quick resolution and revealed that the talented youngster will remain with the club for the season.
“He’s a member of my squad at the moment, he had a good preparation, he played well against Benfica for example. In training he is very focused and eager to do well and I would like to keep him.” Wenger said.
Campbell scored 11 goals in 42 games for Olympiacos on loan last season.
