No Liverpool bid for Balotelli: AC Milan

AC Milan yet to receive Balotelli bid

No Liverpool bid for Balotelli: AC Milan

20 August 2014 - 15:02

Italian giants AC Milan insist they have not received any bids from Premier League side Liverpool for their star striker Mario Balotelli.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Gabriel Magalhaes to sign new Arsenal deal

  • The former Inter Milan player has been heavily linked with a move away from the San Siro all summer and the Reds were rumoured to be leading the race to sign the 24-year-old.

Reports claimed that the English outfit have prepared a £17.5million offer for the Italy international in an attempt to bring him to Anfield as a replacement for Luis Suarez who joined Barcelona last month.

But the Serie A club’s administrator Adriano Galliani has dismissed all talks regarding the sale of Balotelli to the Merseyside club.

“At this time we have not received any offer from Liverpool for Balotelli”, he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

    “Hence, there is no negotiation.

“We will see as the transfer market ends on September 1.”

Balotelli joined the Red and Blacks for £17m on a four-and-a-half year contract in 2013, after spending almost three seasons with Manchester City scoring on 30 occasions in his 54 appearances for Milan across all competitions since then.
